Exium agent can be deployed with and without RMM as summarized with the four main options in the Figure below. Exium's platform, admin console and dashboards support all four options. You can pick your preferred approach for all deployments or use a combination of the options based on your needs. No matter where you start, Exium will support you throughout your journey.
To retrieve the scripts, follow the steps below.
For illustration purpose, we show flow for option 3b with Azure AD based user indetity in the Figure below. In this case, Exium agent is pushed to the endpoints via a single push button in the RMM. In an additional step 2, user authenticates via MFA (Azure AD etc.) to activate the Exium service on the endpoint.
In certain silent deployment cases, MSP may like to provide the users control over turning ON/ OFF Exium service. To enable this control, follow the steps below.
With the "User Controls” enabled, after installation of the client (remotely), the users will see a Exium desktop app and a system tray icon on their devices. The users can then turn ON/ OFF Exium service by clicking on either the desktop app or the system tray icon.
Please follow the instructions to deploy Exium agents using your preferred approach.
Option 1: User Install - Instructions in Email
Option 2: RMM - Device-based authentication and policy (Fully automated)
Option 3: RMM - User identity to device binding for user level authentication and policy
Table below compares the agent deployment options:

---|---|---|---|
Who installs the agent? | User | RMM | RMM |
Who activates the agent? | User | MSP | MSP/ User |
