¶ Instructions for Single Interface CGW HA Deployment
In High Availability (HA) deployment, you will need two boxes or two virtual machines (VMs) for the cyber gateway (CGW) deployment.
¶ Pre-requisites
Please refer Single Interface CGW Deployment to create CyberGateway VM, add gateway on admin console and configure LAN subnets.
¶ Steps to Install CyberGateway on Primary Node
- Identify CyberGateway Primary node [Ubuntu VM or a Hardware box]
- Login using SSH and become root user (Execute command on terminal:
sudo su)

- Login to admin console
- Navigate to Sites → Cyber gateways
- Go to the CGW config page and edit the configuration. Enable HA (Skip if HA is already enabled)
- Click on Update
- Get single click installation command from admin console as shown below for Primary node, after enabling HA and reinstall gateway
- Select Primary from drop down list.
- Click on icon as show below to copy script to clipboard
Skip if already deployed on primary node with HA configuration
- Paste the command copied from admin console in VM/Pi box SSH console and press enter
- Once, deployment completes, user will get email notification
¶ Steps to Install CyberGateway on Secondary Node
Identify CyberGateway Secodnary node [Ubuntu VM or a Hardware box]
- Login using SSH and become root user (Execute command on terminal:
sudo su)
No need to create/add another gateway on admin console for secondary node deployment. During installation command copy, user can select Secondary option from drop down list. Both primary and secondary node will share same name. At a time, only one CGW will be active.
- Login to admin console
- Navigate to Sites → Cyber gateways
- Copy Single click installation command from admin console as shown below for the same gateway name which was used for Primary node deployment.
- Navigate to Sites → Cyber gateways
- Get single click installation command from admin console as shown below for secondary node
- Select Secondary from drop down list.
- Paste the command copied from admin console in VM/Pi box SSH console and press enter
- Once, deployment completes, user will get email notification.
- Backup/Standby node will not be in connected state
- When failover happens redundant node will take MASTER role
