¶ Change LAN IP on Multi Interface CyberGateway Setup
Multi Interface Cybergaway default assigns .251 IP as LAN Gateway IP when DHCP server functionality is not enabled and with DHCP, .1 IP is assigned by default for LAN gateway, to keep deployment simple. If Subnet is configured as “192.168.56.0/24”, LAN IP will be configured as “192.168.56.251” (without DHCP) or “192.168.56.1” (with DHCP). Admins can change the LAN Gateway IP as per the requirement.
¶ Change LAN IP on CGW
To modify LAN Gateway IP in CGW configuration, please follow steps mentioned here to change the LAN IP.
- Navigate to the MSP admin console -> Client Workspace
- Click on Sites → CyberGateways in the left menu bar
- Identify the CGW and click on the gateway name to edit the configuration
- Change LAN gateway IP (within subnet range)
- Make sure new LAN Gateway IP is not configured/installed anywhere else in the network statically.
- Click on Update
Configuration update will happen automatically within ~5 mins. User does not need to redeploy CGW again.
