Welcome to the world of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) on your Chromebook! This guide will walk you through the straightforward steps to activate and manage your WireGuard VPN connection, ensuring a secure and seamless browsing experience. By following these steps, you’ll be able to easily connect to Exium's secure network and enjoy safe internet access. Let's dive in!
Let's get started by launching the WireGuard app! Click on the "Launcher" icon (a friendly circle located in the bottom corner of your screen). Type “WireGuard” into the search bar, and your app will appear in the results. Alternatively, you can scroll through your recently used apps until you find the WireGuard icon. If you do not see the WireGuard app, follow our guide “Easy Guide to Setting Up Exium on Your Chromebook.”
Now it’s time to activate the tunnel! Simply toggle the switch to bring it to life. If you don’t see the toggle switch, you can follow the linked instructions to add a secure tunnel easily.
To verify that your VPN connection is active, click the clock icon in the bottom right corner to open the status area or system tray. You should see the VPN status marked as “on,” indicating that your connection is secure.
Another way to confirm your connection status is by visiting https://block.block while still connected to Exium on your Chromebook. If you see a splash page stating “Access to the Website is Blocked,” you know you're connected.
To disconnect from the tunnel, click on the “VPN” icon in the status area or system tray, where you’ll see the WireGuard App's connection status. Just click on “Disconnect” to end the VPN session.
Thank you for using SASE on your Chromebook! Enjoy a secure browsing experience.
